Call For German Artist Residency 2016
The Goethe-Institut China and the Department of Culture and Education of theConsulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai will initiatean art residency program in Shanghai in collaboration with the am artspace in2016. It is aimed at artists from the fields of visual art noelder than 35 years old at the beginning of the residency. The residency program will be a two-month stay from the middle of October to the middleof December 2016. The participants can implement their China-related projects during thestay. In addition, the stay in Shanghai offers an opportunity to establish contacts with Chinese arts and cultural sector.
Range: Cultural workers from all sectors of the visual arts are encouraged to apply. Time: October15th – December 15th 2016 Location: Shanghai Organizers: Goethe-Institut China, Department of Culture and Education of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai，AM Art Space Benefits of the Program: • Provision of a private apartment in Shanghai for 2 months, livingsubsidies in the amount of 1,000 euros per month. The opportunity to work witha Chinese artist will be provided. • Financing of international arrival and departure costs (flight andtransfer from and to the airport), cost for one-entry Chinese visa. • Networking with the projectcreators and institutions of relevant projects through the network of the Goethe-Institute and AM Art Space. • The scholarship-holder can apply to use the AM Art Space as studio or project space during the residency month period. • An exhibition, presentation or performance as well as a publication aredesired at the end of the residence time. The applicant should beinterested in sharing own work experiences with the Chinese audience. • Applicants shall have professional experience in the above-mentioned fields and have their center of life in Germany. Application Documents Applications shall be made German and English and shall contain the following documents: • Resume: Withfull contact details of your training, an overview of your current artisticcareer, and an introduction to your major work (at least five pieces) inrecent three years. • Application letter and project plan Please describe your motivation to a maximum of 2 pages for participation in the residency program. Please also describe what project you want to implement and yourproject plan during your stay in Shanghai. Applications are accepted only by e-mail. 上午艺术空间（am art space）与歌德学院（中国）和德国领事馆文化教育处第三年合作，推出2016年德国艺术家上海驻留项目。该驻留项目针对驻留开始时年龄不超过35周岁（包含）来自于视觉艺术领域的艺术家展开。驻留时间为2016年十月中旬月至十二月中旬，时长两个月。驻留项目参与人可以在驻留期间完成自己与中国相关的项目，并在逗留期间与中方文化艺术人士建立联系和进行交流。
